 | John W. Barringer, Jr. John Barringer is a Principal of the firm. Mr. Barringer received his B.A. from the University of Mississippi in 1989 and his J.D. in 1994, where he was a member of the Dean’s List and a recipient of the Edward DeHardt Memorial Scholarship.
Prior to joining Manier & Herod, he served as Assistant District Attorney of the 21st Judicial District as well as Lead Prosecutor for the 21st Judicial District Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the National Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Mid-South Workers’ Compensation Association Nashville Chapter, and is presently serving as Vice-President of the Tennessee Defense Lawyers’ Association.
Mr. Barringer practices in the area of workers’ compensation and has developed a specialty in the new area of Medicare Set Asides. He also is a Charter Member of the National Association of Medicare Set Aside Professionals (NAMSAP) and serves on its National Legislative Committee.
