 | Scott C. Williams Mr. Williams is a principal with the firm. He practices among the firm's surety, real estate, corporate, and bankruptcy practice groups, and includes both transactional work and litigation work. His transactional practice includes representation of individuals, businesses and sureties in commercial real estate transactions and credit arrangements, business formation, acquisition and sale, and in bankruptcy workouts. His litigation experience focuses primarily in construction and commercial surety matters, and as creditors in bankruptcy cases. He also has experience in estate planning, and in that area focuses on smaller estates and related estate administration.
Mr. Williams received his J.D., magna cum laude, in 2001, from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he was selected for membership in Curia Honor Society. While at Cumberland, Mr. Williams was one of a few law students selected to work for Alabama Supreme Court Justice Harold See drafting response opinions to writ of certiorari petitions in both civil and criminal cases. Mr. Williams received his B.A. in 1995 from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
