Scott C. Williams
Mr. Williams is a principal with the firm. He
practices among the firm's surety, real estate, corporate, bankruptcy, and
estate planning practice groups. His estate planning practice focuses on smaller
estates and related estate administration. His experience also includes
representing individuals, businesses and sureties in commercial real estate
transactions and credit arrangements, business formation, acquisition and sale,
and as creditors in bankruptcy cases arising under Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the
Bankruptcy Code.
Mr. Williams received his J.D., magna cum laude, in
2001, from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he was
selected for membership in Curia Honor Society. While at Cumberland, Mr.
Williams was one of a few law students selected to work for Alabama Supreme
Court Justice Harold See drafting response opinions to writ of certiorari
petitions in both civil and criminal cases. Mr. Williams received his B.A. in
1995 from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee.
