James H. Tucker, Jr.
Mr.
Tucker is a principal in Manier & Herod.
Prior to joining, he was an Assistant Attorney General in the General
Civil Division of the office of the Tennessee Attorney General.
He has also previously served as a law clerk for the
Honorable John T. Nixon, Chief Judge of the United States District Court for
the Middle District of Tennessee. He also served as Law Clerk to the
Honorable Irvin H. Kilcrease, Jr. of the Chancery Court of Davidson County,
Part I.
Mr.
Tucker primarily practices in the area of Trial and Appellate Civil
Litigation with concentration in workers' compensation.
He has been a participant in and producer of a number of projects and
presentations concerning the area of workers' compensation. Mr. Tucker
is currently a member of the Mid-South Workers' Compensation Association (Vice
President, 2001; President, 2002; Board of Directors,
2003).
Mr.
Tucker is actively involved in the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association
where he currently serves as a Vice President and as a member of the Board
of Directors. He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute. Mr.
Tucker was also a principal author of A Practical Guide to Tennessee
Workers' Compensation Law, 2d Ed., published in 2003.
