Andy Wilson is an associate with Manier & Herod practicing primarily in the areas of fidelity law, surety law, cyber risk and liability insurance coverage, D&O insurance, and commercial litigation. Mr. Wilson received his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2022, graduating in the top 15% of his class. He also completed a semester at Vanderbilt Law School as a visiting student.
Mr. Wilson attended UGA Law on a full-tuition merit scholarship, where he was a graduate assistant to Lori Ringhand, J. Alton Hosch Professor of Law, an officer in Christian Legal Society, and a member of the Privacy, Security, and Technology Law Society. He was also a member of and published contributor to the Journal of Intellectual Property Law. During law school, Mr. Wilson had the opportunity to extern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Tennessee Attorney General’s Office, Liberty Justice Center, and Northeast Georgia Health System. These experiences enabled him to participate in a number of high-profile cases, including the Ahmaud Arbery prosecution, the Google antitrust litigation, and challenges to the OSHA vaccine mandate. Additionally, Mr. Wilson wrote his student note on technology law, helped develop electronic discovery solutions for a large regional hospital system, and is interested in the growing intersection between new technologies and the law.
Prior to law school, Mr. Wilson earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and Economics with a minor in Spanish from the University of South Carolina Honors College. During college, he was active in several student groups and had a regular opinion column for the campus newspaper. Between college and law school, Mr. Wilson lived and taught English in Costa Rica for six months, a time in which he briefly attained fluency in Spanish. Andy Wilson is a member of the American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and Nashville Bar Association. In his free time, Mr. Wilson enjoys reading, playing golf, and birdwatching, as well as appreciating Nashville’s cultural scene with his wife, Kylie, a student at Vanderbilt School of Medicine.
