Manuela Espinosa is an associate at Manier & Herod in Nashville, Tennessee. Her practice focuses on Workers’ Compensation defense, representing employers and insurance carriers in claims involving workplace injuries. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, in a Cuban American family, Ms. Espinosa credits her upbringing with instilling a strong work ethic, resilience, and deep respect for service and opportunity. A fluent Spanish speaker, she brings strong communication skills and cultural understanding to her practice.

Ms. Espinosa earned her Juris Doctor from Belmont University College of Law in May of 2025, where she was a member of the Belmont University College of Law American Inn of Court. She developed a particular interest in workers’ compensation defense work and gained practical experience through her work as a Summer Associate with Manier & Herod in the 2024.

Before law school, Ms. Espinosa graduated from Florida State University with Honors in her Major. There, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a concentration in Editing, Writing, and Media, and Political Science, as well as a certificate in Emergency Management and Homeland Security. Her undergraduate Honors thesis was selected for publication on FSU’s Digital Library, highlighting her writing, analytical, and research skills in literature. At Florida State, she was a member of the Garnet and Gold Scholar Society, Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society, and Women in Pre-Law Society, served as Community Engagement Director for her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, and worked on the social media and outreach team for Florida State University Campus Recreation.

Ms. Espinosa is committed to continuing to develop her advocacy skills and will be attending the Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association’s 2026 Trial School as part of her professional development.
