On December 15, 2021, attorneys from Manier & Herod’s Workers’ Compensation practice group presented at the 75th Annual Workers’ Compensation Educational Conference in Orlando, Florida. Heather Douglas, Sarah Reisner, John Barringer, and James Tucker served as the panelists presenting on Tennessee Workers’ Compensation law during the Break-Out Session on Multi-State Workers’ Compensation Laws. The Session covered common and trending issues affecting compensability of workers’ compensation claims in numerous jurisdictions. The topics covered included work injuries to remote/home employees, PTSD claims, effective tools for closing a case, impairment/intoxication defenses, the impact of legalized marijuana, and other hot topics impacting each jurisdiction.
